Advantages of Juicing
Why not kick-start each day with a taste sensation that’ll invigorate, uplift and rejuvenate. With our on-the-move lifestyles and chaotic schedules, it’s difficult to take time out for a meal that’ll provide us with sufficient energy and nutrients to sustain a balanced and healthy way of life. Increasingly we’re needing quick refreshments, rich in vital nutrients to give us that daily boost that we need.
Fresh Pressed Juice is it. If it’s a tangy wake –up call, a smooth pacifier or a zesty jump start you’re after, your personalised fresh pressed juice will do the trick. From refreshing local apples & tangy lime concoctions to subdued strawberry smoothies & passion fruit quenchers…… the range is vast.
Customise your juice and satisfy those taste buds!
Raw Energy
What is it that makes fresh pressed juice the answer for increased and longer lasting energy levels? The secret is in its ‘living’ component. Raw fruit & veg are packed with ‘living’ enzymes that assist with digestion and play a vital role in overall wellbeing. If our digestive enzymes are being helped and replenished by these additional enzymes, the body will spend less energy on digestion and have more energy for repair and rejuvenation. Unfortunately, bottled and canned fresh juices don’t contain this living constituent due to the pasteurisation process. Pasteurisation kills these enzymes, rendering them incapable of performing their essential functions, and leaving us with less expendable energy.
Not only does juicing maintain this ‘living’ element, but it extracts the vital minerals and makes them easier for the body to absorb. This means that you get the full health package…. vitamins, minerals, natural sugars and enzymes… in an easy to use form. Juiced fruit & veg take a mere 15 minutes to enter the blood stream, so you’ll find that the energy boost is almost instantaneous.
That’s energy on tap!
Detox
Not only does juicing provide us with that all essential, quick off the mark boost, but it supplies us with a wealth of crucial nutrients & helps to reduce harmful toxins. A fantastic way to detox and feel great!
These days there’s no avoiding toxins. It seems like they’re just around every corner. Be it general pollution, cigarette smoke, coffee or alcohol, it’s virtually impossible to steer clear of them.
It is recommended that we have 5 portions of raw fruit a day to assist with maintaining general health. A difficult feat in our busy schedules! So juice it up! You can get some of your daily quota of fruit in tasty smoothies. The vitamins, minerals and enzymes found in a glass of fresh pressed juice are the ideal detoxifier, gently flushing our systems of impurities.
The fewer toxins - the higher our energy levels. Simple.
Great Uses for Pulp
What can you do with all the pulp? This is a question we get asked a lot!
We all hate wastage, so why not try some of these innovative ideas to use up that left over fruit pulp. It’s high in fibre and can add a new dimension to already delicious dishes.
Put it into cakes and slices – we re-use pineapple and apple pulp in our chewy Aussie fruit slice. This is my mum’s recipe.
Pulp is great for garden compost – except citrus. So if you are juicing apples and carrots then throw it on the garden.
Worms love it too – you can easily buy a small prefab worm farm and start the simple process of turning waste into beautiful rich soil. So beautifully green.
In the winter it is great in porridge – especially apple as it gives a great flavour and excellent amount of fibre
If you are really concerned about extra fibre, add a teaspoon of the fibre to your juice – stir it in and sip away!
Put left over grated carrot fibre into you spaghetti bolognaise – kids don’t notice the veg & it makes it even yummier!
Tip the fibre from carrot, cabbage or any other veg into your homemade soup!
Pulp is great in frozen deserts, soups, sauces, casseroles, vegetable stock, dressings, baked goods, salads and many other dishes.
If used within one day, store in the fridge. Otherwise freeze in 2 cup quantities for later use.
